Cabletron Systems E3 Series DNI Cards enable users to connect IBM PS/2Microchannel or compatibles to an Ethernet network made of a wide varietyof transmission media including twisted pair, fiber optic, and coaxialcable.The E3 series interface is available in six styles for any IBM PS/2Microchannel or compatible with a 16-bit or 32-bit Microchannel stylebus. Each E3 series DNI card is available with 16 KB or 64 KB ofonboard buffer memory.Cabletron's DNI cards were the industry's first PC network interfacecards to have built-in network management and analyzer capabilities.Network administrators can gather information from and control the DNIcards using remote network management stations. Users can identify andsolve network-traffic or workstation access problems quickly and easilyby using network management software packages.
